Maurine M. Odumba is a distinguished advocate of the High Court of Kenya; she holds a Bachelor of Social Laws (BSL) and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from Shivaji University, A diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law. She is also a Certified Mediator (MTI) and is currently pursuing a Masters in Research and Public Policy at Maseno University. With a remarkable legal career spanning 13 years, Maurine has garnered invaluable experience in both private legal practice and public service. Presently, she serves as a Senior Principal Prosecution Counsel at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, where her dedication has been unwavering for the past 9 years. Maurine’s commitment to human rights is commendable, as evidenced by her pro-bono work in areas such as Gender, land and women’s rights, and Health Rights. She is an adept Trainer of Trainers (TOT) in matters of Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and holds a strong belief in upholding the rule of law. Maurine brings to KUZA TRUST an extensive profound understanding and extensive experience in the criminal justice sector.
